Basalt Fibers in Modified Whisker Reinforced Cementitious Composites

چکیده

The calcium carbonate whisker (CW) and basalt fiber are gaining popularity due to its enhanced mechanical properties in composites. Also, the short long fibers provide bridging role resistance against cracking from micro- macro-scale, respectively. usage of hybrid along with addition CW cement-based composites is still a research gap. In this work, experimental behavior reinforced mortar considered various content length (3 mm, 6 12 20 mm) fibers. this, synergy performance index determined quantitatively evaluate positive interaction cementitious materials. strengthening effect whiskers also studied using scanning electron microscopy. contents having different used. It was found that four together cement exhibited compressive, flexural, split tensile strength than pure single mortar. results showed similar trend results. caused by step crack arresting mechanism observed material.
